Team GTI

Introducing Project GTI

Project GTI began in September of 2003, around a 1996 VW GTI with over 117,000 miles on the odometer. By the end of the first phase of the project, this car will be prepared to Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Showroom Stock rules, destined for race tracks around the mid-Atlantic and Southeast U.S. >>More

A primary goal of Project GTI is to demonstrate the usefulness of a mildly modified production car for racing in a variety of settings, including amateur circuit racing, autocross, rallycross, and hillclimbs. >>More

However, an even more important goal of Project GTI is to help young people understand that there are exciting, legal, affordable alternatives to illegal street racing and other dangerous activities on public roadways. >>More

Project GTI is soliciting partners to collaborate in its efforts to meet these two goals. >>More
